Formats
Miguel supports several formats. Each format behaves differently, some can be used as an input, some can be converted, etc.
Terminology:
- The input format is intended to be the format that is loaded into Miguel, which can then be used for conversion to other formats.
- Flow-layout is a classic e-book, where you can select the font, its size, background colour and more in the reader.
- Fixed-layout is like a PDF. You can't change anything, but it allows you to create a book with rich graphics and the ability to make notes.
Input formats supported by Miguel:
Output formats that the customer receives:
- EPUB (flow and fixed)
- PDF + converted from EPUB (flow only) to PDF
- MOBI (flow only, converted from EPUB using Calibre)
- audio
The following image shows what Miguel currently supports:
- Social DRM embedding is the embedding of a visible page with user information
- Adding a watermark is adding an invisible signature (the e-book is secure, but the customer won't know it)
