App Installation
Installation proceeds in the standard way as for all other Shopify apps. Simply click the "Install" button on the app page https://apps.shopify.com/miguel.

Then you need to confirm access to data from your e-shop for Miguel to work properly. All this data is stored securely on our servers and we don't send it anywhere.

Next, you need to approve the subscription for using Miguel. Money is automatically charged every 30 days through Shopify.

Then you'll receive an email with instructions to complete the integration.

After your first login, you'll see an empty order list, don't worry, it will fill up soon. To be able to sell e-books/audiobooks, you need to create them on both sides: e-shop and Miguel. On the e-shop side, create a product or a product with variants.
Creating an e-book or audiobook (Miguel)
Go to Books management, found in the left panel in the settings section on Miguel's pages. Click the Add book button and create your first book.
You can name the title anything you want, its name doesn't have to match the product name in Shopify. This name will be used as the filename that will be delivered to customers. You can skip other fields, they will be filled automatically from uploaded files or you can fill them in later.
Click Save and your first title will be created.
Now you need to upload the book files. To do this, use the Add Format button (at the top under the book name). Upload an EPUB, PDF, or audiobook as a ZIP containing MP3 files. Once the files are verified, the format details will appear, where you may need to edit the Code, which is used to link with the product on the e-shop side.
Creating an e-book or audiobook (Shopify)
If you don't have e-books or audiobooks created yet, you can create them as a standalone product or you can use Product with variants.
To create a product, click Add product in the upper right section of your e-shop administration. Set all the items as you need them, but for proper product integration with Miguel, you need to adjust a few things:
- In the Inventory section:
- Disable Inventory tracked
- Set SKU (same as the product code in Miguel)
- Set Location to Miguel (by clicking the pencil next to Location, uncheck all locations and check only Miguel)

- Disable Physical product in the Shipping section
It will then look something like this:

You can also use variants, for example to sell an e-book and audiobook under one product. Just create variants as you want and then, just like for a product, set all parameters as for a product (see previous procedure above).
